Biblical child-rearing is a gigantic custody battle between the state and Christ. We are disputing the custody of the next generation. Fifty years from now, who’s going to be fighting the battle? Our kids. Our grandkids. They’re going to be the ones in the front lines, and so we need to be equipping them now. At some point, we are not going to be in the battle anymore. The training, the allegiances, the loyalties, the information, the backbone—all of that needs to be handed on now.
